Two Excellent Students to Receive Scholarships -
Margaret Nelson of Summerville, SC and Ryan Ladd of Hilton Head, SC will both be awarded scholarships at "The Charleston Soirée". Nelson is a senior attending Summerville High School - Class of 2007 and has been accepted in the fall to Clemson University's Political Science program. Ladd is a senior attending Hilton Head Preparatory School - Class of 2007 and has been accepted in the fall to Auburn University's Pre-Business program. CWIT began offering scholarships in 2004, as 1-$700 award, 2-$500 awards in 2005, 2-$1,000 awards in 2006, and 2-$1,500 awards will be presented at this year's annual banquet event on April 10, 2007.

Listen To Your Favorite Tunes - Enjoy local pianist Bill Purcell while shopping at the exchange and enjoying cocktails and while dinning. Purcell, teacher and accompanist, will demonstrate his diversity by performing various classical, pop and ragtime favorites. He attended Berry College and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA degree in Piano Performance. He has performed in many local venues, and currently is the pianist for the Unity Church in North Charleston. He also teaches private piano lessons. |
